This Confidentiality Agreement & Project Information Protection Statement explains how PJ Precision handles project information, drawings, samples, files, technical details, and other materials submitted by customers through our website, email, WhatsApp, WeChat, or other communication channels.
PJ Precision is operated by Dongguan Pinjie Precision Plastic & Metal Co., Ltd., a custom manufacturing factory located in Dongguan, Guangdong, China.
1. Purpose of This Statement
Customers may submit drawings, samples, CAD files, product ideas, specifications, images, technical documents, packaging requirements, quantity information, or other project materials to PJ Precision for project evaluation, quotation, sample development, manufacturing support, assembly, packaging, or related communication.
We understand that such information may be confidential, commercially sensitive, or related to new product development. This statement explains how we handle such information carefully and confidentially.
2. Scope of Confidential Information
Confidential information may include, but is not limited to:
Product drawings, CAD files, 2D/3D files, design files, sketches, samples, images, technical specifications, material requirements, surface finishing requirements, assembly details, packaging requirements, product ideas, project descriptions, pricing discussions, estimated quantities, supplier or customer information, business plans, and other non-public information submitted by the customer.
Confidential information also includes project information shared by email, contact forms, instant messaging tools, video meetings, phone calls, or on-site communication.
3. How We Use Customer Information
PJ Precision will only use customer information for lawful and project-related purposes, including project evaluation, manufacturability analysis, quotation preparation, sample development, mold making, production planning, quality inspection, assembly, packaging, and project communication with the customer.
We will not sell, rent, or intentionally disclose customer project information to unrelated third parties for marketing or other unrelated commercial purposes.
4. Internal Access Control
Access to customer project information will be limited to team members who need to know such information for project evaluation, quotation, engineering communication, production preparation, quality control, packaging, or customer communication.
We will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary internal distribution of customer files or technical details.
5. Use of Related Processing Support
Some custom manufacturing projects may require support related to processing, materials, surface finishing, accessories, packaging, or logistics preparation. When such support is required for a project, PJ Precision may share only the information necessary to complete the relevant project task with related processing partners or service providers.
We will not share information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the relevant project task.
6. Ownership of Customer Project Materials
All drawings, files, samples, product ideas, technical documents, and project materials provided by the customer remain the property of the customer or their lawful rights holder.
Submitting information to PJ Precision does not mean that the customer transfers any intellectual property rights, design rights, know-how, trademarks, patents, or other proprietary rights to PJ Precision.
7. No Unauthorized Use
Without the customer’s permission, PJ Precision will not use the customer’s confidential information for manufacturing, selling, copying, displaying, promoting, or disclosing the customer’s product or project for purposes unrelated to the customer’s project.
If project images, product images, or case information contain the customer’s brand, confidential design, or restricted project information, we will not publicly display them on our website, social media, marketing materials, or sales presentations without the customer’s permission.
8. Public Case Studies and De-Branded Examples
PJ Precision may use general and de-branded project examples to demonstrate our manufacturing capabilities, provided that such examples do not disclose the customer’s name, logo, confidential design, unique technical details, or sensitive business information.
If a customer does not want any project information to be used as a reference case, the customer may notify us in writing.
9. Security and File Handling
We take reasonable internal measures to protect project information submitted by customers, including limiting access, using controlled communication channels, and handling files carefully during project evaluation and production communication.
We recommend that customers mark sensitive drawings, technical documents, product ideas, or other restricted materials as “Confidential” when submitting them to us.
10. Information Not Considered Confidential
The confidentiality obligations in this statement do not apply to information that:
- Is already publicly available through no breach of confidentiality obligations;
- Was lawfully known to PJ Precision before being provided by the customer;
- Is lawfully obtained from a third party without confidentiality restrictions;
- Is independently developed by PJ Precision without using the customer’s confidential information;
- Must be disclosed under applicable laws, regulations, court orders, government authority requests, or other legal procedures.
11. Legal or Regulatory Disclosure
If PJ Precision is required to disclose customer information due to laws, regulations, court orders, or government authority requests, we will, where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, notify the customer before disclosure so that the customer may take appropriate protective measures.
12. Information Retention and Deletion
PJ Precision may retain project information for a reasonable period for quotation records, project communication, production reference, quality review, business records, or legal compliance purposes.
Customers may request deletion or return of certain submitted files where reasonably practicable and legally permitted. However, some records may need to be retained for legitimate business, accounting, quality, or legal purposes.
13. Separate Confidentiality Agreement for Sensitive Projects
For highly sensitive projects, patented projects, unreleased products, or confidential product development projects, customers may request a separate written confidentiality agreement before sharing detailed technical information.
If the customer and PJ Precision have signed a separate confidentiality agreement or manufacturing agreement, and there is any conflict between that agreement and this website statement, the terms of the signed agreement shall prevail.
14. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the legal right to submit drawings, samples, files, product ideas, and other project materials to PJ Precision.
Customers should not submit any information that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights, confidentiality obligations, or lawful rights.

16. Updates to This Statement
PJ Precision may update this Confidentiality Agreement & Project Information Protection Statement from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, communication methods, website functions, or legal requirements.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
17. Important Notice
This website statement is intended to explain how PJ Precision handles customer project information and confidentiality matters during inquiries, quotations, and project communication. It does not replace any separate confidentiality agreement, purchase agreement, manufacturing agreement, or other legally binding contract signed by both parties.
For highly confidential projects, please contact us before submitting detailed technical documents. If needed, we can discuss signing a separate confidentiality agreement.
